Anna Segrave
Core Barre and Indoor Cycle Instructor
Anna Segrave is an owner/operator and instructor at the Downtown Barre. Core Barre and Indoor Cycle Instructorm, Anna graduated from UNC - Chapel Hill with a degree in marketing and advertising. She worked in this field for years while she explored teaching options in the fitness industry. She got certified to teach spin soon after she graduated college. Her desire to teach always pulled at her heart strings. Her passion to motivate others and help others with their wellness goals won out when she decided to open the Downtown Barre with her friend Samantha Ward in 2012. What started out as just a simple business running three classes a week has turned into a LOVED business adventure. Anna is certified in Core Barre, Core Suspend, Yoga and Indoor Cycling. She loves inspiring others to be their best. When Anna is not teaching, she is busy raising her family of 3 children with husband, Ryan.
Samantha Ward

Core Barre and Indoor Cycle Instructor
Core Barre and Indoor Cycle Instructor Samantha is formally trained in the Royal Academy of Dance Method (RAD) and as an Associate Teacher of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance (ISTD). She danced professionally in Italy before embarking on her dance teaching career and family life. Samantha taught dance for 14 years in her hometown of Devon, England. She moved to the US in 2009. Combining her passion for dance and fitness, she became certified to teach Core Barre in 2012. Samantha has three children and loves raising them at the beach.
Stephanie McIntyre
Stephanie is a true Tarheel with a degree in Health & Physical Education with a minor in dance. This is proof of her passion in the field of fitness. Her desire began long before college and continues as a common thread in her lifestyle. Stephanie hold numerous fitness certifications and has worked in a variety of venues and clubs as a health instructor and has held coaching positions in swimming, dance, and cheerleading. She is very excited about her two newest additions of MAdd Dog Spin Certification and Core Barre. Stephanie never starts a day without her beloved morning coffee delivered by her fabulous husband. She never wants a day to go by without talking to her grown children and she considers herself truly blessed in many ways. Bryson McClean
Bryson McLean - Core Barre Instructor / Indoor Cycle Instructor / Yoga Bryson received her BA from Elon College where she majored in Human Services. She has always had a love for physical movement and athletics. Bryson has worked in the fitness industry as a personal trainer, small group coach, running coach as well as a group instructor since 1997. She is AFAA certified and has Johny G, Schwinn, and Spin cycling certifications. She is also YOGA FIT certified and hold many certifications through the YMCA in pre/ postnatal classes. She loves what she does! "I am motivated by motivating others to appreciate the importance of flexibility, strength, coordination and overall cardiovascular endurance."
Beckie Davis
Beckie began her yoga practice upon moving to Asheville in 2005, she spent years as a tumbleweed practicing all over the world and then became 200RYT certified in 2015 through Open Studio Yoga. Since then, she has continued her education through different isolated trainings all over the country. She began her love for indoor spin/cycle when living in NYC and spent time training with Flywheel and SoulCycle until returning back to ENC to build and develop the spin program at A Hopeful Balance in New Bern for almost 4 years. Beckie loves a good bootcamp and coached at Sweat Camp in New Bern for 2 years while also being an avid Crossfit athlete and past competitor. She has always been in love with exercise, group fitness, mental and physical challenges/health. Beckie most importantly enjoys being involved in the importance of lifting each other up and providing a safe space to learn and grow.
Paige Baily
Paige was born and raised in Morehead City. She graduated from Meredith College in 1999 with a B.A. in American History. She is happily married and attempting to raise two unique daughters. Amidst the constant shuffle of life, she began taking barre classes with Anna and Sam when they first opened the Downtown Barre and was immediately hooked! Paige was inspired because she felt better than she had in years. She became passionate about viewing her health and exercise in a more rounded way, with an emphasis on toning her body, while also protecting it. She became an AFFA certified group fitness instructor in 2012 and a Core Barre certified instructor in 2013. Paige loves to help motivate those around her to embrace life and enjoy the health of their bodies.
Ginny Fitzgerald
Core Barre, Yoga, Indoor Cycle Instructor, Ginny, has lived in Morehead City for 19 years with her husband with whom she has had the pleasure of raising three children. Ginny was a dancer as a child and has been in the fitness industry for over 15 years where she has taught a wide variety of fitness classes. Teaching everything from water aerobics to Zumba, she has always stayed fit by training others to do the same thing. Her newest addition to her resume is Core Barre and she loves teaching barre, Pilates, and indoor cycle at the Downtown Barre where she always wows clients with her amazing core kicking classes.
Juli Saylor
Juli’s desire is to spread her passion for yoga on and off the mat. Teaching comes naturally to Juli and she brings great energy to the studio. She graduated from Seaside Yoga of Wilmington with her 200 RYT in September of 2008 with an emphasis on Anusara yoga. Juli completed her 300 hour program in January 2016 through the Asheville Yoga Center. She currently holds her 200 ERYT and 500 RYT. She honors her teachers Lis Colletti, Susan Koepp, Ashley Ludman and Rachael Crawford Goolsby.
Katy Dyer
Katy has always been a person of movement. She was a competitive cheerleader, softball player, and long-distance runner. In an effort to shed her shell of intensity hardened by competition, she stepped on a yoga mat for the first time in 2013. Today her intensity can be seen in her passion for a continuous practice and study of yoga. She offers space for others on all paths of a yoga journey to rid themselves of the rigidity that life and competition create – a place for them to find energy and vigor of fluid movement, quiet stillness, and grace that is created when we rid ourselves of expectations to find contentment in our present wholeness. Katy completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training with Transcending Yoga in Swansboro, North Carolina and is currently enrolled in a 300-hour study at Wilmington Yoga Center. She is deeply grateful for the compassionate guidance that her teachers have shared with her, for they have shown her that yoga is an ever-developing acceptance of who you are in a present moment -- an understanding of all the variances and changes that exist within you.
Brea Sharron Estep

Brea Sharron Estep, Mrs. United States 2021, is an Integrative Health Practitioner, Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor, business coach and author of Amazon #1 Bestseller “Holistic Health Clean Eating Cookbook.” With over a decade of experience in the health and fitness industry, she uses her health struggles and education to teach and coach others who feel like they have tried every diet, every workout and/or every doctor, find the underlying root cause to finally get their health and body back holistically.
Brea was born and raised in Greensboro NC where she graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with her bachelor’s in business and became the owner of Foundation Fitness studio for 8.5 years. Brea recently moved to Morehead City NC with her husband Tim and pups, to enjoy living their best life at the beach. She is proud to represent her home state as Mrs. North Carolina United States and as Mrs. United States 2021 where she promotes her platform, her non profit Youth Fitness Link. Which shares her life’s mission statement “build health positive relationships on the inside and out in order to combat adolescent obesity and teach healthy lifestyle changes.”
Brittany Segur
Brittany feels most in her element when she is helping others discover their own yoga practice. With a B.A. in Psychology and a passion for holistic wellness, her goal is to help students find balance both on and off the mat. She completed her 200 hr RYT at Embrace Yoga Studio in Fayetteville, NC in 2016. She enjoys teaching a wide variety of classes, from a hot flow to a relaxing guided mediation. She is also Reiki II certified and enjoys helping students explore the spiritual aspect of yoga.
Mia Crawford
Barre Instructor
Mia is a social butterfly full of energy! Starting at a very young age Mia knew her health was off. From bad skin to weight problems, she soon discovered she had cystic acne, hormonal, and diabetic related issues. It’s taken 5 years and counting to regulate things but from the beginning she knew she wanted to help people with their health in the same way that she learned. Mia works in aesthetics across the street at Tranquility for skin health, and here, Downtown Barre, for body health! She started going to Downtown Barre 2 years ago and says she’s absolutely fell in LOVE! “Getting toned and healthy in the way i’ve dreamed, along with the best people at a beautiful place”. Knowing she wanted to give that feeling to other’s she got her instructors license in 2022. Mia now likes to say “Come see me for skin and body health, or better yet, some beauty AND burn!”
Heather Faron
Barre, Indoor Cycle, Yoga Instructor
Heather is a local Eastern North Carolina girl that was born and raised in New Bern. She is 200 Hr YTT yoga certified through the Kunga Yoga. She is also Schwinn Cycling certified, barre certified, and is a certified Tai Chi instructor, specializing in arthritis fall prevention through the Health Institute International. She loves teaching and meeting new people!
Alicia Durham
Alicia Durham is a graduate of the Yoga Mojo Teacher Training and is a RYT200 with Yoga Alliance. She brings to the mat a refreshing positive energy, as well as a lifelong love of teaching. Her relaxing stretches, playful Vinyasa flows, and moving meditaitons will help you expand your flexibility, increase your strength, and calm your mind. Her goal is to guide you to connect with your body, your mind and spirit.
Beth Barnett
Barre Instructor
Indoor Cycle InstructorBeth was born and raised in Charleston, South Carolina. After attending the University of South Carolina, she briefly lived in New York City before settling down in Raleigh, NC with her husband, Will. Beth and Will moved to Beaufort,NC in September 2021 and welcomed their first child that December.
Beth has had a love for “music driven movement” since she starting taking step classes with her mom in high school. While in Raleigh, she taught barre at YoBa studio and began teaching at Downtown Barre a few months after the birth of her daughter. In her classes she encourages students to take what they need and not to be afraid of an alternative that feels good in their bodies. Most recently, Beth has gotten her spin certification and has begun adding cycle classes to her schedule at Downtown Barre. If you want fun music and uplifting energy, she’s your girl!
Megan Barber
Megan Barber was born in the mountains of PA but was raised here on the Crystal Coast. Megan grew up a dancer and movement has always been an important part of her life. She received her BSc from Elon University in Dance Kinesiology which is where she was first introduced to, and fell in love with, both Yoga and Pilates. Thanks to the Elon Dance Department, she attended yoga teacher training at Asheville Yoga Center and received her RYT200 through Yoga Alliance in 2019 and then went on to obtain both her Advanced Mat Pilates and BarreAbove Instructor certifications in 2020. After graduating college, and the technical completion of her dance career, she wanted to be able to continuing moving and share her passion for movement with others going nearly all in with her instructing. Her goal is to provide classes that challenge students while increasing their endurance, strength, and flexibility leaving them feeling better than before they came to class! In the future, she hopes to incorporate her passions for movement and mental health by perusing a career in somatic therapy believing that there is much healing to be found in connecting the mind, body, and soul.
Dodi Darrow
Meditation Instructor
Dodi grew up in eastern NC, but for the past 16 years has lived in CA, CO, NM, and is now back in NC! She has an undergrad in Corporate Wellness and has led fitness classes over 20 years. She is an ADAPT certified Functional Health Coach, and leads mindfulness group programs like Intuitive Eating and Embodied Spirit workshops. She is so excited to be back in NC and guiding meditation at Downtown Barre!
Hope Peterson
Barre Instructor
Indoor Cycle InstructorYoga InstructorHope uses the power of positivity to motivate students to confront their limitations and push past them. Her classes are high energy and you can expect a well structured, fun class. Hope reminds her students to push themselves but have a good time doing it. Often you will hear her mantra “If you hug in your core, squeeze your booty, & breathe- you can do anything.”
Hope’s passion for fitness began as a hobby in 1985 as a Group Fit Instructor. She’s a certified 200 E-RYT, Barkan Method Hot Yoga Instructor with over 1,800 hours of teaching Group Yoga classes with experience in Gentle Yoga, Vinyassa, Yin Yoga, Yoga for Athletes, Yoga Sculpt, and Yoga-TRX. She is also certified in Personal Training, SPIN, and HIIT. She incorporates her own personal experiences of overcoming weight loss challenges like anorexia, hypothyroidism and hormone deficiency into her teachings. One of her weight loss milestones was competing in regional power-lifting competitions in her forties.
Hope’s full time career in the software industry gives her flexibility to teach those early morning classes before 8:00 as well as the evenings and the weekends. In her spare time, she spends quality time with her family and her furbabies.
Lauren Rivera
Yoga Instructor
Born and raised in South Carolina, Lauren has always had a passion for fitness, fun and community! Lauren and her family moved to this gorgeous coast in 2018, following corporate moves to Germany and Michigan. Lauren is a mom of three wonderful children and absolutely loves getting outdoors with the kids. She attended a barre class with a friend while in Michigan and loved the high-intensity/low impact exercise from the start. She was so inspired by the wonderful instructors at The Downtown Barre, that she became a certified Core Barre instructor in 2020. Yoga has been a tremendous part of Lauren’s life for many years. She graduated from the Wilmington Yoga Center’s 200HR program in 2021. Lauren absolutely loves living here and is so grateful for the community she’s found at The Downtown Barre!
