Downtown Barre classes are built to help you feel stronger, move better, and stay energized throughout the week. Every session is instructor-led and intentionally designed to challenge your body while keeping movement safe and effective. Members train through barre and Pilates conditioning, cycling, yoga, and infrared heated workouts that improve strength, flexibility, and endurance in a motivating boutique studio environment.

Core BarreTM
Core BarreTM blends Pilates precision, classical ballet technique, and athletic conditioning into one powerful workout. The class focuses on controlled, low-impact movements that activate smaller stabilizing muscles while building lean strength and improving overall body awareness.
You’ll move through rhythmic sequences that challenge balance, posture, and flexibility while keeping your muscles fully engaged. The result is a workout that feels focused, energizing, and incredibly effective from start to finish.

Bike & Barre
Bike & Barre combines the energy of indoor cycling with the sculpting power of barre training. The class begins with a cycling ride designed to elevate your heart rate, activate your legs, and build cardiovascular endurance.
After the ride, the workout transitions into a heated barre session where focused movements strengthen the core, tone muscles, and improve balance. The combination creates a dynamic workout that leaves you feeling both challenged and energized.

20/20/20
20/20/20 is a one-hour workout structured into three focused training segments. The class begins with twenty minutes of indoor cycling that raises your heart rate and activates the lower body.
From there, members move into twenty minutes of strength training followed by twenty minutes of infrared heated core work. The sequence keeps your body engaged while building endurance, strength, and stability across the entire body.

Yoga at Downtown Barre
Yoga classes at Downtown Barre focus on strength, flexibility, and mindful movement. Instructors guide members through flowing sequences that combine stretching, balance work, and controlled breathing.
The practice supports muscle recovery while improving mobility and posture. Many members add yoga to their weekly routine to complement higher intensity classes and maintain long-term flexibility throughout the body.

Infrared Heated Classes
As the first infrared heated fitness studio in Eastern North Carolina, Downtown Barre offers a unique training experience. Infrared heat works by warming the body from within rather than heating the surrounding air, providing a more comfortable, effective, and elevated approach to fitness.
The heat helps muscles warm up faster, move more freely, and stay flexible throughout class. Many members also notice improved circulation, deeper stretching, and faster recovery after workouts.
Infrared training supports detoxification, circulation, flexibility, and muscle recovery while elevating the overall workout experience.
